Safeguarding
Safeguarding is our highest priority in school and we take all reasonable steps to ensure children are protected from harm
We recognise our legal duty, under s175 Education Act 2002 and the 1989 Children Act, and we take seriously our responsibilities to protect and safeguard the interests of all pupils
We recognise that effective child protection work requires sound procedures, good inter-agency cooperation and a team that is competent and confident in responding to child protection situations
Our policy reflects current legislation, accepted best practices and complies with the government guidance: Working Together to Safeguard Children and Keeping Children Safe In Education.
