Mrs Watkin will be working with the children on Friday Morning.
Topic
Our topic this Term is ‘Animals’. We will be doing lots of fun activities based around this theme.
Role-play
Our role-play area this term is the ‘Comberbach Vets’.The children choose what they would like it to be based on their interests and we will send a letter home asking for help to set it up.
Show and Tell
Show and Tell will begin week commencing Monday 5th November.This gives your child the opportunity to bring from home, a photograph, something they have made or something of interest to talk about to the rest of the class. This time allows the children to build confidence when Speaking & Listening and forms part of our Eary Years Curriculum~Communication and Language. Your child will get the opportunity to talk about it during the following week. They will bring their object home afterwards.
Reading
The week beginning Monday 10th September, reading books, and phonics homework will be sent home for your child to practise and share with you and from then on your child will read in class at least once each week.
Outdoor Area
Wellington boots!!! Could you please ensure that your child has a pair of boots in school at all times. Clearly labelled allowing your child to access all zones in the Outdoor area. (Mud kitchen, Sand, & Water)

Parent Helpers
Our list for Parent helpers will be going up after the half-term break so please keep a look out for it!
Water bottles
Could you please ensure that your child comes to school with a full bottle of water each day. This can be refilled during the day if needed. Please do not place your child’s bottle in their blue bag as they sometimes leak!
Junk modelling boxes
We are always happy to take any unwanted boxes. No larger than a cereal box please and only cardboard.
